DrainMaster was started in 1959 by my father George a World War Two Veteran and Purple Heart recipient! Ironically, I was born in 1959. As service manager and senior technician, I have 43 years of experience in sewer and drain cleaning. Now, you may wander how someone born in 1959 has 43 years of experience in sewer and drain cleaning. Please read on and allow me to explain! My mother, Ann, was a stay-at-home mom until I started 1st grade in 1965. That's when she became manager of a restaurant during the afternoon. She worked from 3pm until closing, sometimes early and sometimes late. I was usually in bed. Dad worked days as a heating and cooling serviceman and indirectly DrainMaster was started. Dad bought sewer and drain cleaning equipment from Spartan, the industry leader. He used those machines to unclog air conditioning overflow drains and swamp cooler drains. As time went on, people would ask him to unclog kitchen sink drains, bathroom sink drains bathtub drains, shower drains, stationary tub drains,washer stand pipe drains toilet drains, floor drains, and main drains. Remember, mom was managing a restaurant during the afternoon, so dad would have to take me with him on drain service calls. I didn't mind, not only was George my father, he was my best friend! So, you could imagine, at 6 years old I was the perfect size to crawl under kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, even crawl spaces under homes to fix bathtub drains and shower drains. I loved it, not only was I with my best friend, I was helping friends and neighbors with their sewer and drain problems. In 1976, at age 17, I took over all sewer and drain cleaning operations and have been doing it ever since.
